1. Skip Hire

  • When can I expect delivery of my skip?

    We deliver skips throughout the normal working day, you can request an AM or PM delivery however these are on a first come first serve basis. We are able to call you before your delivery if required. To avoid any problems, why not have your skip delivered the day before you require it to ensure that the skip is there and ready for you to start work the following day.

  • Do I need to be home for the skip delivery?

    No, In most cases we can deliver your skip when no one is home, payment is made before the skip is delivered and therefore we can make delivery at any time for you. If your skip is being placed on the public highway you must be available to take delivery of the skip.

  • Can my skip go on the road?

    Yes we can place skips on the public highway. A permit needs to be obtained from the council, which we apply for, these are for a week at a time. You have to provide lights and cones for the skip which we can supply for you (to keep) at a chargeable rate. Please note that we must give the council 4 clear working days for the skip licence, so please give sufficient time when ordering your skip.

  • What can’t I put in my skip?

    There are various items which cannot be placed in a general waste skip but can be collected at a chargeable rate: Fridges, Freezers, Batteries, Pressurized Cylinders, Oils, Chemicals, Tyres, Tree roots, mattresses, TV’s and monitors and WUDs (see below). New Plasterboard & Asbestos have to be placed in separate skips. Please contact us for a quotation if you have any of these items.

    Waste Upholstered Domestic Seating (WUDs) is any item of seating of a household type from households or businesses that is waste. Please see below examples of items that may contain POPs, these cannot be placed into your skips without an additional cost.

    - sofas
    - sofa beds
    - armchairs
    - kitchen and dining room chairs
    - stools and footstool
    - home office chairs
    - futons
    - bean bags, floor and sofa cushions

    This includes any part made of or containing leather, synthetic leather, other fabric, or foam. The manufacture, sale, and use of products containing POPs is now banned.

    The charge for removing these items (in addition to the skip hire costs) are as stated below

    ·        Small Item £25.00 + vat

    ·        Large Item £50.00 + vat

  • Is my waste recycled?

    All waste collected by us is brought back to our recycling facility in Romsey, where we are able to recycle up to 90% of all waste collected.

  • How long can I keep my skip?

    Online Orders:

    2 week hire, collection will automatically take place 2 weeks after delivery.

    Telephone Orders:

    2 week hire, collection will take place when customer calls to notify us it is ready.

2. Grab Lorry

  • What is the capacity for your Grab Lorry?

    We are able to collect either 12 tonnes of waste or 9.2 cubic meters of waste on our 6 wheeled grab lorries.

  • Where does my waste need to be for the Grab Lorry?

    The grab lorry has to park alongside the waste and has approximately a 16 foot reach. You also need to consider the surroundings, e.g over head cables & low branches.

3. Roll on Roll off Containers

  • What space is required for a Roll on Roll off container?

    For a roll on roll off skip you will require at least 40 foot in length to drop the container off and approximately 10 foot in width.

  • Can anyone hire a Roll on Roll off container?

    Yes these can be on commercial, residential and building sites, depending on where you would like the container placed.

  • Can the Roll on Roll off containers be placed on the road?

4. Tipping Facility

  • Can I bring my waste to you?

    You are able to bring non – hazardous waste into our recycling facility if you have a valid waste carriers licence, you can apply for these via the Environment Agency website.

  • Are there any site rules or regulations?

    To enter the recycling facility you must have the appropriate PPE, including: Steel mid sole and toe cap boots, reflective wear and a hard hat.
